Migdalia Curbelo
Migdalia Curbelo is a dedicated Legal Assistant with over two decades of experience supporting both nonprofit and private legal practices. She has spent 14 years working with Free Legal Services for low-income individuals through the New Center for Legal Advocacy and South Coastal Counties Legal Services, where she served as a secretary and receptionist committed to advancing equal justice under the law. In recognition of her dedication and service, Migdalia received a 10 Year Service Award from the Legal Aid Coalition of Southeastern Massachusetts.
In addition to her nonprofit work, Migdalia has approximately 10 years of experience assisting private attorneys in the immigration field, working as a paralegal and legal clerk. Her broad background allows her to provide knowledgeable, compassionate, and detail-oriented support across a wide range of legal matters.
Migdalia began her education in Puerto Rico and later graduated from New Bedford High School in Massachusetts. After high school, she returned to Puerto Rico, where she worked for a private family law and criminal law attorney before relocating back to Massachusetts. Since then, she has built a long-standing career primarily in the legal field.
Outside of work, Migdalia enjoys creating with her hands. Her hobbies include crocheting, sewing, resin art, gardening, cooking, and baking and other creative outlets that reflect her patience, precision, and passion for craftsmanship.
