Luisa Cu Raymundo

Clerical Assistant

Luisa has over two years of experience in a law office, including one year in her current role as a Clerical Assistant.

Luisa grew up in Guatemala, where she developed a deep appreciation for her cultural roots and learned Spanish and some Q’eqchi’ from her paternal grandmother. After moving to the United States, she continued her education and graduated with Honors from New Bedford High School. Her interest in the legal field began at a young age, shaped by the injustices she witnessed in her home country and the challenges faced by immigrant families. These early experiences inspired her commitment to pursue a career in law.

Luisa is currently studying Psychology with a minor in Global Migration at Bridgewater State University, with the goal of becoming an attorney in Public Health or Immigration Law. In her role as a Clerical Assistant, she supports clients with compassion, professionalism, and a strong sense of responsibility. She approaches her work with the belief that every person deserves dignity, understanding, and access to their legal rights values that guide her growing experience in the legal field.

Luisa cares deeply about her community and volunteers with several nonprofit and grassroots organizations supporting immigrant families. She is committed to justice, equality, and the collective strength of the migrant community. Her work reflects dedication, empathy, and a strong community-centered philosophy, inspired in part by the words of Rigoberta Menchú: “Peace is not only the absence of war; as long as there is poverty, racism, discrimination, and exclusion, it will be very difficult for us to achieve a peaceful world.”
